Week 5 and 6 (Wk beg 4/5/20 and 11/5/20)
We understand that home learning can be difficult to structure and to try and help you with this we have put together a suggestion of how to set out your day using this planning.
For each day we would make a suggestion of at least 20-30 minutes of reading (either independent or with a parent) followed with an activity of your choice from either the Reading, English or Science activities. Then take a break. After the break we would suggest a Maths activity of some kind (either from the planning, most which will stretch across two days, or timetables practice). In the afternoon it is a prime opportunity for Art, RE or other more creative activities.
It is also a good idea to make sure that the children get at least an hour of exercise per day which you could spatter throughout the day as brain breaks or in a block of exercise.
In terms of materials from outside agencies, there are definitely resources available in many different forms that are often helpful. The BBC Bitesize daily lessons will be good to support and supplement the planning that we have provided but should not be relied upon for all of the content that the children access. The same can be said for the lessons being provided by WhiteRose.
We hope that you are all keeping safe, happy and active. We hope to see you soon.
